The desks are awesome. Very stylish and durable. Beautiful finish. However, the packaging and shipping process was another story. Our first desk arrived in brand new condition and we had no issues. The second one was a mess. It took us for desks before we got a desk with no damage. The problem was in the packaging...the package weighed 140 lbs. and continued to get large gashes in the edges of the desk during shipping. The problem was that the desk(s) were not always properly wrapped with hard plastic material or when it was, the material was not secure to the box and fell off. Because the material fell off the outside of the box, the exposed areas were then very easy to damage. That happened on the first 3 desks. We would open the box and discover very large gashes on the corners and edges. I spent several weeks dealing with Amazon on the phone...have U.P.S. pick up the damaged one, wait to have Amazon acknowledge they... The packaing wasn't so great though, 3 of the 4 corners were damaged.You'd think corners of anything shipped would have extra protection. I kept the table anyway even though my husband wanted a new one. It would probably be the same result and I'd be even longer witout a desk. :/ |
