I love the desk we bought. It looks very nice and doesn't take up a lot of space in our computer room. HOWEVER the instructions were extremely complicated and the nuts and bolts that came with this were not good and did not hold it together at all. AND my husband has been a carpenter for 35 years!!!! We finally threw away the instructions and put it together with the picture after we went to the store and bought brackets and better bolts more appropriate for this type of a desk. I am happy with the product but only after we improved on the instructions and hardware.

I researched corner desks quite a bit and found this one to be the best for its price. The assembly went well, and when I discovered that there was an issue with one of the side panels, I called SEI. I spoke to a live person (that's always a bonus), and they corrected the problem. I received the replacement part in about a week.

It looks great in my daughter's room, and I'm sure we'll enjoy it for years to come.

Unlike some of the other reviews, I was able to assemble the desk alone with little skills to contribute on my own. It looks good and fits my needs perfectly. However, the construction of the keyboard/mouse tray is seriously wacky. First it is way too shallow and does not allow much room depth-wise. Secondly, there are length-wise issues as the tray does not allow much room for a keyboard and mouse. The most serious issue is that the tray came with a lip (I can only guess at its true purpose) that is raised 1/2 inch above the surface of the try. For the keyboards and mice in today's technology (that is, flatter than older versions) this is a HUGE issue for the user's wrists. The lip cannot be taken off easily so I had to create a 1/2 inch thick pad for the keyboard and mouse to raise them to a level that would not cause immediate wrist issues. This allows even less space to move the mouse. It is very frustrating since I like everything else about the desk. I will be looking... Read more

I just got this desk yesterday and I have to say, I'm very impressed with it.

After only seeing one review for this product, I was a little wary about purchasing something like this online. However, I've always had good experiences with Amazon so I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. One great part this product is that it's eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping. That really helped, though it took a couple of weeks for my desk to finally get here.

Please keep in mind that this desk is HUGE. Also, I was under the impression that I would be getting one parcel, but in fact this desk comes in two separate boxes. The delivery man had to struggle to get these in the door because they were so heavy.

The desk took me around three hours to assemble. I'm a girl and I worked by myself on it, so maybe it will give you an indication on how easy it is to put together. The instructions were very clear and if you follow all the steps you can have it up in no time... Read more

I built this on my own as I had put a few of these together by myself in the past. None had as many parts as this...I don't think my back has forgiven me yet :o) The two main construction issues I came across were (i) the cd racks were too small - I contacted the company and they sent me free replacements in a very timely fashion, and (ii) the holes for the metal plates were too small and not in line - I ended up having to use a drill to start the screws entries in then finish manually with a standard tool.

I am very pleased with the end result. It is very, very, very user and storage friendly. I am truly a happy camper.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, who works long hours on-call for his IS department. He needs room for several CPU's, monitors, and the like. The middle of the desk is hardly supported by brackets. It bends in when you lean on it with your elbows! So he can only put a couple monitors on the surface. The hutches don't sit straight on the desktop, even with the appropriate attachments. Overall, it is usable so I don't want to waste money and time to send it back. But it is definitely not what I paid for.

Oh and it was missing a lot of hardware when it initially arrived. But the customer service for this company was stellar! They sent an entire new hardware set overnight and were very friendly.

I am not sure what the last reviewer was talking about. Yes, this did take time to assemble, but that is what i expected with this price and convenience of online. This desk is finished nicely and should last a long time. i am happy with this purchase and would recommend this item to others.

I highly reccomend this desk.
It is a sturdy desk that looks very sharp.
It ships in two boxes. One for hutch and another for desk.
We bought this for our daughter and she loves it!
The assembly instructions are very easy to follow and
parts are of the upmost quality. It will take a few hours
to put together, but even a monkey can do it.
The left, right, and top sides are made of solid wood to give
it a sturdy foundation. The rest is composite, but still very strong.
Most connections are a combination of dowel and metal clasps
that lock via a screw driver turn. The drawers use high quality
ball bearing sliders. The front drawer can optionally turn into a keyboard
tray.

I purchased this through another online seller who is not listing this anymore on their site.

The quality of the finish is unparalleled- it really is beautiful, and it does look exactly as pictured. However the desk was truly terrible to put together. I have put many, many of these together and this was the most difficult I have ever encountered. Metal connection pieces actually broke, the customer service folks wanted me to take the entire thing apart and send back the pieces that should have been manufactured differently. There were missing pieces and the ends did not always connect. I ended up getting parts from a hardware store and using some super glue.

It looks beautiful, but instead of having a quality wood desk that will be usable for at least a generation, I am hoping it will get my 4th grader through middle school before it falls apart.
