It met the requirements I needed, fits in small space, inexpensive (although there are cheaper). I read the reviews and everybody seemed to be happy with it. As far as the design goes and build quality after it was put together I give it a 4. The reason for the low score is due to the fact that some of the plastic endcaps were not included (leaving the sharp metal edges exposed), the wood is really particle board with a large wood print sticker over it. Not a big deal except that it has bubbles under the sticker and parts of the stickers were peeled back and faded. But the first two words really are accurate. While I don't use it as a computer desk, it has proved to be well put together and easy to clean. In my line of work, all sorts of grime gets onto my work surfaces. Add some feathers and its a complete disaster. So I'm not sure what it's made out of, but this desk is really easy to clean off with a little vinegar. It also does not wobble at all, or sway like you are trying to work on the back of an elephant. Or something.The one complaint I have is the difficulty I had in putting it together. The packaging was great and everything, but it took forever to figure out how to install the roller tracks for the keyboard drawer. This was especially disconcerting because I was being timed on how quickly and accurately I could assemble the desk. This one fit the bill perfectly and was definitely in my price range. It was fairly easy to assemble and sturdy. Kinda hard to go wrong with this one. |
