Deceptive description, December 23, 2011 By  Vermonter - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Contemporary Home office Computer Desk With Hutch in Dark Walnut Finish by Poundex Purchased two of them. The product description was very specific that these were wood. I expected inexpensive stained wood. They are particle board with a laminate on them and scar very easily. The front edges are plastic. For the money they are ok - they just should not be able to call them wood. It was manufactured in Taiwan, not China, and that may have something to do with the quality of the item. Though it is not solid wood, it looks like it'll be fine and last a while.
