Two hours plus to put it together, and the instructions are a bit difficult to follow, but can be figured out. No real wood in the desk, and the drawer bottoms are cardboard, but are pretty sturdy. As long as I don't spill water in them, they should be OK. The drawers are on very smooth glides, and the assembled desk looks very nice. The package includes some extra parts and a touch-up pen. It has large drawers, an open space on the upper-right below the top to place things that can still be easy to grab yet don't take up desk space. It is a really nice design in the layout respect. Looks-wise, The desktop is a rich brownish (not good at explaining colors) wood that contrasts the black nicely while still matching with the black-theme of the room that it is in. The handles on the drawers are very stylish (rustic looking) and the drawers are butter-smooth. The one MAJOR downfall is that the wood is NOT treated. This results in 2 issues. First, the desktop bubbles up. I use it as a surface for my computer's mouse and if I run my hand across the area that I use it in, it feels rough with small bumps throughout.
