Shake "njingi" (Tuckerton, NJ USA) - See all my reviews    My wife bought this to put in our bedroom and use as a vanity/dresser combo. It came in two boxes, very well packed with that expandable foamy stuff, so there were no damaged corners. It was incredibly dusty, but wiped off with no problem. There were a few scratches on some of the boards, but nothing worse that what she'll do to it after about a minute of use. The drawers are on tracks, and while I wish they were smoother to open, they are serviceable. The instructions for assembly were a bit goofy. They completely forgot to include how to assemble the drawers. It isn't difficult to figure out if you've ever built a pre-fab before, but will slow you down a little. We were able to assemble the whole thing in about 2 hours, taking our time. It is light and yet sturdy enough to not need help stabilizing things while screwing them together, etc. As a side note, the top is built separately and is held on by 4 dowels, so it is easily removed to make it lighter to move... It has wonderful storage drawers below the secretary part. I purchased this desk for my husband's birthday, per his request. He loves it! It fits nicely into the corner of our basement, holds all his things, and closes up nicely so the kids don't get into his stuff. He put it together in about an hour and didn't have any trouble with it. My primary complaint is that the drawers are not very sturdy. He's storing a few things in each, but could certainly not fill them with books or even notebooks, so the desk is not quite as functional as it could be.
